Coffee Kitchen Decor Decorating Tips
One popular decorating style today is coffee kitchen décor and what better way to decorate your kitchen than with coffee! After all, who hasn’t spend hours around the kitchen table sipping coffee?
This decorating theme will give your kitchen the look of a coffee house café which can be both homey and trendy. In addition, this coffee related décor goes with just about any style kitchen and in any style home. The neutral colors used as the base make it easy for you to switch out to another theme later on.
Now, when one thinks of “coffee décor” the color of brown immediately comes to mind and while you can use this color as your base you don’t necessarily have to. Practically any color will do because the central focus of the theme is coffee items. Having said that, brown is a perfectly wonderful color to use - perhaps a tan or putty shade or even a darker brown like that of coffee with lots of cream! Brown is very trendy this year and will go with most any décor.
Finding coffee kitchen décor for your design theme isn’t that difficult. First off, you might try looking for some wall art that depicts coffee mugs or even art the is reminiscent of what you would see in a coffee house. One of my favorite things to use when decorating is antiques and you could scour your local antique shops for old café signs - both signs with the café names and those that you can find inside the café with a list of coffees and prices can look great in your coffee themed kitchen and will add a unique touch.
For accessories, you can find coffee themed kitchen towels and pot holders. You might also consider plain utilitarian items that you would find in a coffee house. You know those thick white coffee cups? Why not include some of those in with your décor?
Another thing to consider is your furniture. Wrought iron tables with glass tops and scrolly details are perfect for this decorating style. Think about what you would see in a café and go with that. Curtains can be plain and unobtrusive - even sheers or Venetian blinds would work well.
Adding coffee kitchen décor to your home doesn’t have to be hard or expensive. You can do as little or as much as you want. From simply adding a few accent pieces like wall art, kitchen towels and pot holders to going all out and giving your room a new paint job and total overhaul - either way, your sure to end up with a kitchen that is comfortable and fun to be in!
